Report findings have been released on the review of out of hours visits to residential addresses by Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) compliance officers for deportation purposes.
The independent review was commissioned by MBIE Chief Executive Carolyn Tremain in May 2023. Michael Heron KC led the review and has made 5 recommendations in this report.
MBIE is working on updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and guidance for compliance officers to reflect the Government’s Dawn Raids apology, and the pause will continue on out-of-hours visits to residential addresses by compliance officers at least until this work is completed.
Find out more and read the report on the MBIE website.
