BK7 Global Investor Category (26/11/2007)

1. Principal applicants under the Global Investor Category are assessed against:
   1. health and character requirements; and
   2. investment funds and business experience requirements.
2. For an application to be approved under the Global Investor Category:
   1. the principal applicant and family members included in the application must meet health and character requirements (see A4 and A5); and
   2. the principal applicant must have a minimum of four years of business experience; and
   3. the principal applicant must nominate funds and/or assets equivalent in value to at least NZ$20 million and demonstrate ownership of these funds and/or assets; and
   4. the principal applicant must demonstrate that the nominated funds have been legally earned or acquired; and
   5. the principal applicant must invest NZ$20 million for a period of four years in New Zealand of which $5 million must be in an active investment; and
   6. the transfer and placement of funds in an acceptable investment must be completed in accordance with the policy in BK8.10.
