U11 NZAID funded students (24/03/2003)

1. An NZAID funded student is a student who receives funding from the New Zealand Government under the following Schemes:
   1. Aotearoa Scholarships;
   2. Study Awards Schemes;
   3. Postgraduate Scholarship Schemes;
   4. Dependants Fees Scholarships;
   5. Short Term Training Awards;
   6. Commonwealth Scholarships;
   7. Pacific Regional Awards.
2. The objective of NZAID Scholarships and Awards is to promote human resource development. NZAID scholars are generally required to return to their home countries immediately on completion of their studies (for at least two years) to contribute to economic and social progress through the transfer of knowledge and skills.
