U5.5 Primary and secondary schools (state and integrated)

  1. Primary and secondary schools are accredited by the Ministry of Education for admitting full fee foreign students and may offer them places, within any limits imposed by that Ministry on levels and subjects, after all New Zealand domestic and NZAID scholarship students have been placed.
  2. Where foreign students are enrolled in a course intended exclusively or mainly for foreign students that course or programme must be approved by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (see section 35B Education Act 1989).
