A15.20 Instrument of Delegation: Visa Officers (27/02/2003)

I, LIANNE DALZIEL, MINISTER OF IMMIGRATION, acting pursuant to section 131(1) of the Immigration Act 1987, hereby delegate to visa officers:

1. the power conferred by section 27 (5) of the Immigration Act 1987 to impose, by special direction, a condition that the holder of a work permit shall undertake employment only in a specified area, or in a specified industry, trade, occupation, or profession, or with any specified employer, or a condition relating to any two or more of those matters, and
2. the power conferred by section 27 (7) of the Immigration Act to vary or cancel, by special direction, the s27 (3) condition in respect of a student permit to enable some students to work for 15 hours per week or during the Christmas and New Year holiday period.
