G4.35 Age (26/07/1999)

  1. Points are awarded for the principal applicant's age as follows:

    Age

    Points

    18-24

    8

    25-29

    10

    30-34

    8

    35-39

    6

    40-44

    4

    45-49

    2

    50-55

    0

  2. Principal applicants aged 56 and over must be declined under the General Skills category.
  3. Additional points should be awarded if a 24-year-old principal applicant turns 25 before a final decision is made on the application.

    Note: points for age will not decrease if the principal applicant moves to a lower level of points.

G4.35.1 Evidence of age

Evidence of age may include but is not limited to original or certified copies of:

  • a birth certificate
  • a passport or other travel document
  • an identity card (from countries which require an identity card and where birth details must be confirmed before one is issued).
