R6.5 Allocation of places within the New Zealand Immigration Programme (21/12/2005)
- There are three streams within the New Zealand Immigration Programme:
- The Skilled/Business stream;
- The Family Sponsored stream; and
- The International /Humanitarian stream.
- The Government may, from time to time, reallocate places within the three streams and/or add places to the three streams.
- The annual allocation of places within the New Zealand Immigration Programme for the Skilled/Business stream is 60% of the number of places available within the New Zealand Immigration Programme (60% of 45,000 = 27,000 places) + 5,000 places.
- The annual allocation of places within the New Zealand Immigration Programme for the Family Sponsored stream is 30% of the number of places available within the New Zealand Immigration Programme (30% of 45,000 = 13,500 places) + 750 places.
- The annual allocation of places within the New Zealand Immigration Programme for the International /Humanitarian stream is 10% of the number of places available within the New Zealand Immigration Programme (10% of 45,000 = 4,500 places) + 750 places.
