BF2.5 Employment in New Zealand (26/07/1999)
  1. An applicant is also considered to have an English-speaking background if:
    1. they have been lawfully employed full-time in an occupation in New Zealand for a minimum of 12 months; and
    2. English was the language of employment.
  2. 'Employment' in the context of English language requirements policy does not include self employment.
