BH3.1 Business established while the...

BH3.1 Businesses established while the principal applicant was holding a permit granted under the Long Term Business Visa/Permit category

An application under the Entrepreneur category will be declined if:

  1. the business on the basis of which the application is made was established while the principal applicant was holding a work permit granted under the Long Term Business Visa/Permit category; and
  2. the principal applicant was not self employed in that business for two years prior to the date the application under Entrepreneur category is made.
  3. Applications under the Entrepreneur category will also be declined if the principal applicant and any partner or dependent child applied for and was granted welfare assistance under the Social Security Act 1964 while in New Zealand during the currency of their temporary permits.
