BI8.5 Settlement and contribution requirements (04/07/2005)
  1. To be granted residence under the Investor Category, applicants must demonstrate that they have the ability to successfully settle in and contribute to New Zealand.
  2. Principal applicants meet settlement and contribution requirements if they satisfy a business immigration specialist that they:
    1. intend to make New Zealand the main home for themselves and any accompanying partner and/or dependent children that are included in the residence application; and
    2. own, in addition to their investment capital, sufficient funds or assets to provide for their own maintenance and accommodation, and that of any partner and dependent child/ren included in the application, for a stay of at least two years in New Zealand.
