SM8.20 Employment in an area of absolute skills shortage (04/04/2005)
- A is assessed as having employment in an area of absolute skills shortage if:
- they are employed in an occupation included on the Long Term Skill Shortage List (refer Appendix 6); and
- the current employment or offer of employment meets the specifications for that occupation; and
- they are suitably qualified by training and/or experience to undertake the employment or offer of employment (including any specific requirements set out on the Long Term Skill Shortage List).
- Skilled employment in an area of absolute skills shortage only qualifies for points if a principal applicant provides evidence that their employment or offer of employment meets the requirements of (a) above.
