S3.10 Residence permits for refugees

  1. Mandate or "Quota" refugees may be granted residence permits on arrival in New Zealand.
  2. Immigration officers may, at their discretion, grant residence permits to "Convention" refugees (see C5.60.1).
  3. All refugee claimants who are recognised as having refugee status may apply for residence on the basis of that recognition.
  4. Such applicants may include dependants in the application in accordance with residence policy (see R2).
