S3.10 Residence permits for refugees
- Mandate or "Quota" refugees may be granted residence permits on arrival in New Zealand.
- Immigration officers may, at their discretion, grant residence permits to "Convention" refugees (see C5.60.1).
- All refugee claimants who are recognised as having refugee status may apply for residence on the basis of that recognition.
- Such applicants may include dependants in the application in accordance with residence policy (see R2).
