E4.50 Requirements for lodging an application for a temporary permit at a customs place
Immigration Act 1987 ss 25(1), 126 Immigration Regulations 1999 reg 12
- An application for a temporary permit at a customs place must be made on an approved arrival card.
- The application must be submitted to an immigration officer, together with the applicant's current passport or certificate of identity and, if appropriate, the applicant's temporary visa.
- Before determining the application, the immigration officer may require the applicant to produce:
- travel tickets or evidence of onward travel arrangements, and
- evidence of funds for maintenance or of sponsorship.
