P3.20 Partners and dependent children of work exchange scheme participants

1. Partners and dependent children of work exchange scheme participants may be issued with visas and granted permits that are current for the same period as the participants' visas or permits, provided they meet the requirements for the particular category of visa or permit they are applying for.
2. Visa and immigration officers must be satisfied that the exchange scheme allows participants to be accompanied to New Zealand by their partner and dependent children.
3. Participants' partners may apply for work permits after their arrival, but they are subject to work visa and permit policy criteria.
