V2.15 Multiple journey visas
- Frequent visitors may be issued with a multiple journey visa, provided that
- their visits total no more than 9 months in any 18-month period, and
- they have not been in New Zealand for more than 9 months in the preceding 18-month period.
- Multiple journey visas may be current for travel for up to 36 months from the date of issue so long as the passport remains valid, except in the case of visitors from the following countries (in which case the period stated applies instead):

- In spite of the requirements in paragraphs (a) and (b) above, the spouse or partner of a work visa or work permit holder, or the spouse or partner of a student visa or student permit holder, may be issued with multiple journey visas current for periods equivalent to those applying to their partner, provided they are in a (see E4.5.1).
