WI4.20 France Working Holiday Scheme (15/11/2004)
  1. This scheme allows 1000 young citizens of France to be issued with multiple entry work visas, current for 12 months from the date of issue, authorising employment for a maximum of 12 months from the date of arrival.
  2. An additional 400 places (bringing the total to 1400) will be available in the 2004/05 year.
  3. To be eligible for a work visa under this scheme, applicants must:
    1. be citizens of France ordinarily residing in France at the time of applying, and
    2. satisfy the New Zealand Embassy in Paris that their main intention for coming to New Zealand is to holiday, and that employment is an incidental reason for the visit, and
    3. have a minimum of NZ$4,200 available funds for maintenance, and
    4. agree to hold a comprehensive medical and comprehensive hospitalisation insurance that will remain current throughout their stay.
