H6.10 Making an application for a relationship-based visitor visa (12/07/2021)

1. A person may only apply for a visa under these instructions if they are invited to do so.
2. An application must be made within 4 months of the date of the invitation to apply.
3. An application for a visa must be made in the prescribed manner.
4. An application for a relationship-based visitor visa must be made by submitting the following to an immigration officer:
   1. the completed form approved for this purpose; and
   2. the prescribed fee (if any); and
   3. the documentation and evidence requested in the invitation to apply, including evidence of the applicant’s relationship to the New Zealand citizen or resident.
