SR4.10 Acceptable employment in a Skilled Residence: Highly Paid role (05/09/2022)

Acceptable employment in a highly paid role is employment where the immigration officer is satisfied that the principal applicant:

1. holds current employment or an offer of employment with remuneration of at least twice the median wage rate that is in effect at the beginning of the 24 month period and at the time the residence application is made (currently $55.52 per hour), and
2. the employment or offer of employment is with an employer who is accredited at the time of the residence application (whose accreditation is not suspended); and
3. the employment is full-time (employment is full-time if it amounts to at least 30 guaranteed hours per week for every week worked); and
4. the employment is permanent or for a fixed term of at least 12 months from the date of application; and
5. the employment is genuine and is not offered as a result of payment (see SM6.30.5 (a)).
