BC2.15 Funds for maintenance and accommodation (26/07/1999)

The business immigration specialist must be satisfied that the principal applicant has, in addition to their investment capital, access to sufficient funds or assets to provide for their own maintenance and accommodation, and that of any spouse or partner and dependants included in the application, for the duration of the visa/permit.

BC2.15.1 Evidence of funds for maintenance and accommodation

Evidence of sufficient funds may include (but is not limited to):

  • cash, or
  • New Zealand bank accounts showing the current balance, or
  • travellers' cheques, or
  • bank drafts, or
  • recognised credit cards with sufficient credit available, or
  • for group visas, certification from a reputable travel agency.
