BI7.20 Retention of funds by the New Zealand Government (04/07/2005)
  1. The investment funds will be held by the New Zealand Government for a five-year period from the date the total funds were received in the designated Government account.
  2. The five-year investment period begins on the date the total amount of investment funds is received by the New Zealand Government in the Government account.
  3. The New Zealand Government will guarantee the return of the principal, adjusted for inflation, at the end of the investment period (or in the case of investment funds withdrawn prior to the end of the investment period, those withdrawn funds, adjusted for inflation, at the time of their withdrawal).
  4. The investment funds will be available for use by the New Zealand Government while they remain with the New Zealand Government.
