G2.2 Lodgement of applications under the General Skills category (01/07/2003)
- The lodgement requirements set out below are effective as from 2 July 2003.
- All applications lodged under the General Skills category must include the qualification(s) for which the is claiming points and either an NZQA Interim Assessment Report or an NZQA Qualifications Assessment Report (see G3.1.10) of the principal applicant's qualification(s) unless:
- the principal applicant’s qualification(s) is one which is included on the List of Recognised Qualifications (see G3.1.1), or
- the principal applicant has been awarded full or provisional registration by a New Zealand organisation authorised by law to give occupational registration, and registration involves an assessment that their overseas qualification(s) enabling such registration is comparable with a New Zealand qualification that is included on the List of Recognised Qualifications.
- If a principal applicant is claiming points for their qualification on the basis of full or provisional registration (see G2.2 (b)(ii) above) the certificate of registration must also be included for lodgement purposes.
- All applications lodged under the General Skills category must include an offer of employment
Note: To be awarded points for an offer of employment, that employment must be:
i. relevant to the qualification or work experience for which points have been or may be awarded (see G4.15.5 and G4.15.10), and ii meet other requirements for offers of employment set out at G4.15 to G4.30.
- Applications that do not meet these lodgement requirements will not be considered to be (see R2.25).
