E4.70 Requirements for a person whose residence permit has been revoked
Immigration Act 1987 ss 20(4)(c), 25(1)(d)
- A person whose residence permit has been revoked, and who wants a temporary permit, must make application for a temporary permit before the date on which the revocation of the residence permit becomes effective, and satisfy immigration officers that they:
- have not appealed against the revocation, and
- have provided evidence of onward travel and maintenance and accommodation, and
- meet the policy requirements relevant to the type of temporary permit for which they have applied.
- A work permit may be granted for an appropriate period, provided that the applicant meets the policy requirements for a work permit (see WK).
