D3.30 Deportation liability of temporary entry class visa holder for cause

- A person who is liable for deportation under section 157 of the Immigration Act 2009 has 14 days from the date of service of the deportation liability notice to give good reason why deportation should not proceed.
- Subsection (a) above does not apply if:
- the person is a holder of a limited visa;
- the Minister or an Immigration Officer determines that the person is an excluded person.
- The person may, not later than 28 days after the date of service of the Deportation Liability Notice, appeal to the Tribunal on humanitarian grounds against their liability for deportation.
