E2.5 Who needs a temporary visa or permit (26/07/1999)

Immigration Act 1987 s 4(1)

A person who is not a New Zealand citizen and who wishes to stay temporarily in New Zealand must have a temporary visa to travel to New Zealand and a temporary permit to stay in New Zealand, unless they are exempt from having to hold a temporary visa or permit or hold a limited purpose visa or permit.
