G5.10 New Zealand work experience (26/07/1999)
  1. Principal applicants may be awarded up to 2 additional points for work experience gained lawfully in New Zealand, as follows:

    New Zealand work experience

    Points

    One full year

    1

    Two or more full years

  2. The New Zealand work experience does not include experience of the kind discussed in G4.1.1(e).
  3. New Zealand work experience must also be relevant to the qualification for which the principal applicant has been awarded points (see G4.1.5), unless points are also awarded for an offer of employment (see G4.15), in which case the New Zealand work experience does not need to meet the relevance requirement.
  4. Points awarded for New Zealand work experience are additional to those gained for total years of work experience (see G4.1(c)).
  5. Provisions concerning aggregation of work experience and the effect of leave, part-time work and study and training undertaken as part of employment also apply to New Zealand work experience (see G4.1.1 and G4.1.10).

G5.10.1 Evidence of New Zealand work experience

  1. Evidence of New Zealand work experience includes but is not limited to evidence of work experience of the type listed in G4.5; and
  2. evidence of the lawfulness of New Zealand work experience includes but is not limited to evidence that the experience was gained while holding a New Zealand work permit, or other authority to work.
