G5.10 New Zealand work experience (04/02/2002)
- may be awarded up to 2 additional points for work experience gained lawfully in New Zealand, as follows:

- The New Zealand work experience does not include experience of the kind discussed in G4.1.1(e).
- New Zealand work experience must also be relevant to the qualification for which the principal applicant has been awarded points (see G4.1.5), unless points are also awarded for a relevant offer of employment (see G4.15), in which case the New Zealand work experience does not need to meet the relevance requirement.
- Points awarded for New Zealand work experience are additional to those gained for total years of work experience (see G4.1(c)).
- Provisions concerning aggregation of work experience and the effect of leave, part-time work and study and training undertaken as part of employment also apply to New Zealand work experience (see G4.1.1 and G4.1.10).
G5.10.1 Evidence of New Zealand work experience
- Evidence of New Zealand work experience includes but is not limited to evidence of work experience of the type listed in G4.5; and
- evidence of the lawfulness of New Zealand work experience includes but is not limited to evidence that the experience was gained while holding a New Zealand work permit, or other authority to work.
