C5.10 Cancellation (26/07/1999)

1. Refugee status may be cancelled if circumstances come to light that indicate that a person should not have been recognised as a refugee in the first instance.
2. Procedures for cancelling refugee status are found in paragraph 117 of the UNHCR Handbook and the UNHCR Memorandum of 4 July 1989 on cancelling refugee status.
