Y3.10 Who must be granted entry permission

See also Immigration Act 2009 ss 108 and 122

  1. Entry permission must be granted to the holder of a:
    1. permanent resident visa; or
    2. resident visa granted in New Zealand; or
    3. resident visa arriving in New Zealand for a second or subsequent time as the holder of the visa.
  2. A person who returns to New Zealand through emergency (see Y2.45) must be granted entry permission unless that person is subject to section 15 or 16 of the Act.
