BK8.5 Approval in principle (20/03/2008)

Principal applicants who are assessed as meeting the requirements under either:

  1. the General (Active) Investor Category set out at BK4.5(b)i - vi; or
  2. the Professional Investor Category set out at BK6(b)i - vi; or
  3. the Global Investor Category set out at BK7(b)i - iv.

    will be advised that:

    1. their application has been approved in principle; and
    2. residence visas and/or permits may be issued and/or granted once principal applicants:
    • provide acceptable evidence of having transferred and invested the nominated funds in accordance with the relevant policy requirements; and
    • provide a New Zealand address at which they can be contacted by mail, after they arrive in New Zealand; and
    • pay any applicable migrant levy; and
    • submit evidence, if applicable, that any applicant aged 16 or over in either the General (Active) Investor Category or the Professional Investor Category meets the English language requirement; and
    • residence visas/permits will be issued or granted subject to requirements under section 18A of the Immigration Act 1987.
