W3.35 University lecturers (26/07/1999)

1. University lecturers recruited for temporary appointments at New Zealand universities may be issued with work visas authorising a permit current for the length of their employment, up to a maximum of 3 years.
2. University lecturers who are already in New Zealand on work permits and whose visas were issued for less than 3 years, may be granted a further work permit for a maximum of 3 years from the date of their arrival in New Zealand.
3. Visa and immigration officers must sight evidence of:
   1. the applicant's job offer from a university, and
   2. the applicant's qualifications and experience.
